When should you book your bridal hairstylist?

Bridal hair is easy to leave until later in the planning. Here is how the timings actually work with us, and what happens between your first enquiry and your wedding morning.

Once you have your date and your venue, it is sensible to enquire. Dates are taken on a first come, first served basis and we do not hold them, so earlier is generally better than later.

An enquiry does not secure your date

Sending an enquiry gives us your date, venue, ready time and party size so we can check them properly. It does not reserve anything. Your date is secured only once the Terms and Conditions have been accepted and the £99 non-refundable retainer has been paid.

Until that point the date stays open to anyone else who enquires, even if we have already replied to say we are available.

A simple timeline

• Date and venue confirmed: enquire.
• We check availability and reply.
• Terms accepted and £99 retainer paid: your date is secured.
• Around six weeks before the wedding: your trial, held on a weekday in the studio.
• Six weeks before the wedding: final balance due.

What to have ready before you enquire

• Your wedding date and ceremony time
• Your venue and where you will be getting ready
• The time you need to be ready
• How many people need styling (minimum booking is three)
• Any hairstyle ideas you are drawn to

None of it has to be final. If your bridal party is still forming or your ready time is an estimate, just say so in the enquiry — we would rather work from an honest draft than wait for a finished plan.
